Your Summer Guide to Austin
If you need a fun summer getaway, look no further. Check out our Austin summer guide and learn more about the fun, food, and great times that lay ahead for you. You may even find a few familiar names!
Eats and Treats
Terry Black’s Barbeque: Those 10,000 5-Star Google Reviews aren’t wrong when they say Terry’s is delicious. Known for its legendary sauces and juicy meats, you are sure to find a cut that will fill you up. Don’t forget to try one of their savory sides or sweet desserts!
Music and Events
Blues on the Green: A classic ATX event, blues on the green happens once a month every summer for a series of outdoor concerts at Zilker Park (does that name sound familiar). Bring a blanket, some foldable chairs and enjoy the food, drinks, and live music with your friends. The events are currently on pause, but we can't wait for them to get started up again.
East Austin Studio Tour: A self-guided tour happens twice a year in May and November, where you can meet and greet different Austin-based artists and visit their creative spaces and exhibits.
ATX Startup Crawl: The biggest tech startup event in Austin, where you can visit startup spaces, meet the founders and team members, and drop off your resumes. Some hold larger events, conferences, and even throw parties within their HQ's. It has currently gone virtual, but we can't wait to physically check out and learn more about the Austin startup scene again.
Outdoor Fun
The Greenbelt: Pack some snacks and drinks, wear your bathing suit and SUAVS and head out to the Greenbelt with your friends for a day of some light hiking and then cooling off at a swimming hole. Our favorite spots are Twin Falls, Sculpture Falls, The Hill of Life, and the Flats at Campbell's hole. Don't forget to bring a bag for your trash to keep our outdoors clean!
Barton Springs Pool: Whether you are looking for a lush and beautiful park, a hiking trail, cycling path, swimming pool, fishing, or camping spot, Barton Springs Pool is the spot for you. If you enjoy a more relaxing time, the views make a great spot for a delicious picnic.
We would love to see you in Austin this summer. Ask us for recommendations; we are always here to help. Be sure to tag us throughout your adventures with #SUAVS.

Hello, I’m wondering about the traction on your shoes. They look similar to Tom’s. I had those and slipped on wet spots. I don’t want to slip and hurt myself again.
My daughter lives in Austin and works for Google. I love visiting her and I’ll definitely try some of your places I own 4 pair of your shoes and I love them .
