EXPERIENCE AUSTIN LIKE A LOCAL_PART 2

Austin, Texas is now the 11th largest city in the USA.  Trendy neighborhoods, bars and restaurants seem to pop up daily these days. Even for a local it's hard to keep up!

The number of tourists and new residents is increasing everyday. Which places will remain the favorite spots for locals? 

I've been an Austinite for 5 years and my absolute most favorite thing to do is the Night Swim at Barton Springs Pool!

And oh yeah, did I mention? It's free!!!

From 9pm to 10pm Barton Springs Pool opens up it's doors for free to the public. There is nothing better than jumping into that icy cold water at night with a view of the Austin skyline before your eyes. 

The flexibility, packability and fact that you don't need socks with your SUAVS, makes them my favorite shoe for these night time adventures. 

For one night skip the bar and head for a free swim at Barton Springs! Afterwards, finish off your night by stopping at the nearby P.Terrys for a good burger. The combination of a cold water swim and good grub never fails to help me sleep like a rock.

 Whether it's someone finishing a run, a student cramming for a test, two friends catching up, or our APD officials picking up a cup of Joe. It feels like home for me. 

 If you want to see the diverse group of people that makes Austin great, make sure to stop at Bennu Coffee. Furthermore, their coffee and food will set you up for success.
